MISSION AND VISION
“We proclaim Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” Col. 1:28 [ESV].
Our Story
As is true of most LCMS congregations in this area, our roots go back to the Wendish migration from Europe. Many of our members can trace their family heritage to the ships that brought the Wends to Texas. For more information we suggest you visit: https://texaswendish.org/museum
Christ Lutheran was founded in 1892. Over the years we have been known for our traditional Lutheran worship, for being loving Christian people, and for our fellowship and food.

ABOUT OUR PASTOR
A Note from Paster Mumm
St. Paul wrote: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16 – ESV). For many years this has been a central faith verse for me. It is my privilege, as a called and ordained servant of God’s Word, to share the truth of Jesus’ love for you with everyone who will listen. May the Lord draw us all closer to Jesus, closer to heaven.
